About
Why we’re building RepoMind
Every developer has wasted hours re-reading code they once understood. We’re building RepoMind to fix that.
The problem
Codebases grow faster than documentation. Developers switch context constantly - between repos, tickets, and meetings. When you come back to a project after weeks or months, the mental model is gone. You scroll through files, grep for function names, and hope you piece it together before the next stand-up.
Our approach
RepoMind indexes your codebase into a private vector store and uses retrieval-augmented generation to answer questions grounded in your actual files. Every answer comes with citations - file paths and code snippets - so you can verify instantly. When the answer isn’t in your code, it says “I don’t know” instead of guessing.
What we believe
- AI should ground answers in evidence, not generate plausible-sounding fiction.
- Your code is yours - we never train on it, and you can delete everything at any time.
- Developer tools should be fast, private, and transparent.
The team
RepoMind is built by a small team of developers who got tired of re-reading their own code. We’re building in public and shipping fast. If that resonates, we’d love to hear from you.
